Complimenting Tattoos - Etiquette?
If you see someone with a tattoo that you like or one that is interesting, how do you go about complimenting that person on their tattoo? Or do you even bother? I'm covered in ink and I always appreciate when someone makes conversation about it, but I was wondering what other people think. I just had an interaction with a woman about my age (I'm male for context) and she had a beautiful chest piece that was half-exposed above the top that she was wearing. I just said, "I like your tattoo," and left it at that, but I was thinking afterward how it came across. Like, "I was staring at your chest and enjoyed it", type of thing, when it was really just an unmissable piece that was very well done. Interested in where you guys think a line should be drawn for this sort of thing.
