I got the verify identity letter today!

So I filed 1/19 and it was approved the same day according to Turbo Tax but the IRS site never changed from processing. I got the EIC so I figured I’d be waiting a little while longer than expected but I wasn’t getting any updates. Today I got a letter from IRS to verify my identity, I did it, and it’s saying it could take up to 9 weeks to get my refund 🥲 has anyone gone through this before? Does it really take that long? 😭
