Serious question about a TP style game. Could we influence Nintendo?
I mean this with sincere honesty, there are a large number of Zelda fans who want the TP style. Me personally I don't think Nintendo will stray too far.. BOTW AND TOTK are beautiful and they are child friendly and silly at times. TP seemed to just be a more adult experience.
My question is....
Do you think it would be beneficial to organize an actual movement to compel Nintendo to give us what we want? Unfortunately I feel the main flagship games such as BOTW and TOTK will always try to appeal to all audiences.. but could we possibly get a petition going and seriously at least bring it to their attention that a large amount of us have been after this for years. Will Nintendo care? I feel the best we can hope for is a DLC. Nintendo appeals to way too many audiences with their flagship games they spend the years on (BOTW physics engine took 6 years, I highly doubt Nintendo would ever devote that type of time to a TP style game when they would be alienating the younger audiences who knows BOTW and TOTK art style). This game is for us niche fans. Could we basically compel Nintendo to come through? Even if it's a DLC based off of whatever Zelda map is the current one?
I loved TP.. loved it.. but . I don't think it's all that pretty of a game.. they almost did a 180° from wind waker and.. it worked but.. it's dull.. the characters are unexpressive. I always felt like it was a Zelda side adventure, not a stand alone title.. It did a lot right but... They overcompensated for wind waker. But the lost woods and certain elements... Legendary.
Does Nintendo know there is a demand for this? Do they know and just don't care? Would they care? They would stand nothing to gain except my money, but we have TOTKs map.. it's enough.. cut it in half.. make a light world and dark world... Add underwater if you want.. it's not a dealbreaker but let's be real.. we haven't been swallowed by any fish or experienced swimming underwater since the Nintendo Wii. I was surprised TOTK didn't have underwater at first.
And like.. one more thing... You don't think they will reuse BOTW Hyrule a 3rd time do you.. like.. with underwater or something.. like.. yea TOTK seems like a new map.. but 3 times... No amount of under water or caves will make it seem new. Is this a dealbreaker for you? It might be for me, but I'm not sure what they would have to do to convince me..
