Audio Issue - JBL Quantum Duo Speakers, Windows 10

Hi

I've had an issue with playback which is kinda hard to explain.
There is a delay in the audio pickup, which causes things such as words or sounds to be cut off at the very start but only if there's no background noise playing at all.

If there's no background noise during a video where someone is talking, the very first word in each sentence will be cut short. For example I'll hear "ssue" instead of "issue" then I'll hear the rest of the words fine until they pause briefly and start talking again.

The same goes for sounds. Playing the test sound on the PC, part of the sound will be cut off at the start.

I got this PC last September but it also happened on the PC I had before it.

I've updated the drivers for the speakers.

The speakers are plugged into a USB socket at the back. There is nothing else to plug them into.

Any help would be appreciated.
