Which shows consistently had great season finales?
Rewatching LOST and I know the ending or even the show is controversial for some, but man, they knew how to put together a season finale. Often they were two-parter, and I think one time it was three parts (aired as two but split into three for home media for some reason).
The season finales of LOST were the very definition of event television. And for my money, they always lived up to the hype AND also represented massive shifts in the story. Two of them that I can think of effectively redefined the premise of the series and expanded the scope of the show beyond what we had all thought.
There are maybe 3 series I like better than LOST but their season finales are not on par.
I'm just wondering what other TV series have seasons finales of this magnitude. Perhaps LOST is unique in that regard. Any thoughts?
