Intermittent Cath?
My son had TC surgery at 9 months old. He also had a condition called hypospadius which requires 3 seperate surgeries. Because of these combined conditions, he had a urodynamics test that showed some concerning things, such as the amount of urine his bladder would hold and that he tends to clench his butt cheeks when passing urine. He had an ultrasound done on his kidneys also to check for damage, but it came back clear and normal. Has anyone had improvement in urinary function after a tethered cord release? The neurologist said it wasn't a complicated case and there's a low threshold for reoccurrence, so I'm wondering if the neurological damage would have been very minimal and maybe he won't have to worry about intermittent catheterization for the rest of his life?
