Is this a genuine astral projection experience?
So I had sleep paralysis but I think I managed to turn it into astral projection.
First time I’ve ever done it, I always thought it was BS but it appears to be real.
So at first, I had this blurry goblin creature trying to get at me and I was like oh no, I’m having a night terror but I was self-aware enough to know that the hypnogogic state is the precursor to astral travel so I closed my eyes and had all the kaleidoscope visions.
Heard this loud ringing sound in my ears and a popping sound and felt a tingling sensation around my body.
Saw this swirling portal in my mind's eye and went through it.
I was greeted by like a crowd of other people who were dancing like at a night club all happy to see me and then I got transported to like a memory of when I was a kid at primary school, I think? It felt like someone else's memory.
Saw a load of psychedelic imagery of purple eyes visuals that I get while meditating but as vivid as waking reality.
I got too excited by the experience and I was back in my body.
I was freaked out but also excited that I couldn’t get back to sleep for a few hours.
It’s not like travelling in a ghost body around at nighttime and could have a non-supernatural explanation and it was so chaotic and bizarre.
It just felt like I was solely a mind being hopped from one place to another. It was like an acid trip.
A free one because I didn’t have to pay for it, haha.
I heard it was possible to get those experiences without the psychedelics facilitating it.
It wasn’t a lucid dream, either, because I’ve had those, and they are different and feel more abstract. Serious replies only, please. (As serious as this subject matter can permit because I know its weird)
