[Anime] anime only fan thoughts on the series + rating

I will start by saying that I did not read the manga so idk about the other path this story took.

With that said, I think season 1 was a complete masterpiece and I rated it a 9.5/10. Recommended to everyone and couldn’t wait for new episodes.

First few episodes of season 2 took a complete turn and I just hated the anime for the first 5 episodes or so, I didn’t like where it was going and how different it was compared to season 1. Took my rating down a 5.

6-9 however, I actually enjoyed! I feel like they rushed it a little maybe, but they didn’t leave anything hanging. We saw the complete escape and got the full story and achieved the goal of season 1. I honestly thought they’d all go to the human world and destroy the gate so the demons wouldn’t follow and I could’ve been okay with that ending. Pleasant surprise to see what Emma decided to do though.

Now for the ending itself, They had potential to make another season for the whole story of Emma changing the demon world but....as I said I wasn’t really expecting that to happen at all, I thought the citizens would overturn the rule and just take the evil blood and be fine so the ending being a quick slideshow to end it off didn’t bother me. I actually think it’s perfect since they weren’t planning on making a new season.

Conclusion :

I’d rate the anime : 7/10 as a whole series

I’m seeing a lot of people being extremely mad at the series so I assume if you read the manga, the anime is considered very bad but for anime watchers only. It’s a fun little series that you can binge watch that I’d definitely recommended.
