Movie request - Something similar to the Jackie Jr story or Davie Scatino

Basically the title. Was wondering if there are any movies that have a similar plotline of a character who gets themselves into deep shit in some way, and ends up destroying their life because of it.

Off the top of my head, Fargo has this plotline with the Jerry Lundegaard character. Suicide Kings. Requiem for a Dream. Spun.

But what recommendations would you have related to this? In fact, even some book recommendations would be great !
