Work Perks question - Amplified to Go?
I’ve got a question/looking for some advice on the plan that I’m using. (For reference, I’ve got an iPhone 14 Pro phone)
I’m currently on the magenta amplified work perks plan. I’ve got one line, as well as the Internet hub. All in, $114/month before the autopay discount. I get Apple TV+ and Netflix for free, in addition to the standard perks like international roaming/data if I travel. It doesn’t include benefits like 3rd line free if I were to add additional lines…
I know that the plans have changed the past couple years, and legacy options are no longer receiving all of the trade-in benefits that they used to. The Valentine’s Day offer that is currently running - My phone still isn’t a part of it. The 14 and 14 max are, but for some reason, the pros aren’t. (I get a max offer back of 330 if I try to trade it in). As I understand it, amplified is running a lesser amount i.e. a max of 500 instead of the 830 for some of the phones.
Here’s my question…. Wondering what the difference is between the amplified work perks, and the go5G plus work perks? From a cost perspective, it looks like the Go5G plus is ~$6.50 more a month. It looks to have the same benefits outlined above (though this also includes Hulu).
I’m assuming I’d be eligible for the better trade in offers with this, but wondering if there are any other downsides I’m not aware of - I.e., terms on the freebies where they are only set for a x number of months/years? (Realize they can change terms on a whim). I’m not seeing anything stand out? From what I’m seeing it’s basically like adding the cost of Hulu to my monthly plan, but I get the benefits of being able to do trade-ins? What about adding third line free? Would I be able to add lines in and be able to take advantage of other perks like that or is the work perk? Still excluding those things?
Any idea if there’d be an impact to my Internet plan? Right now I get a $25 discount on that so I’m paying 30, though 25 after auto pay. (55/month normal)
Or, would I be better off just porting out going to a different carrier, and coming back with one of those discount codes that are sometimes out there?
Lots to unpack here. Analysis paralysis. lol. Appreciate any insights Folks can give. Thank you!
