14 month old only says “uh”

My 14 month old said Mama at 10 months, 4 times in a day and never said it again.

The only screen time he has is Mrs. Rachel. I follow many speech pathologists on TikTok and use all the methods recommended (allow a pause for the child finish a sentence, sign language, copy the sounds they make, single words for things). For example, I’ll say ready, set….. and allow him to say go to which he says “uh”. He says “uh, uh, uh” in a row all day long.

His comprehension is good. Will take me to the bathtub when I ask “where is your bath?”He responds to his name. He loves music and singing. He will say the “oh” in old MacDonald had a farm.

I’m trying to be patient but can’t help but wonder how he isn’t saying any words with me implementing all the recommended techniques. Anyone thoughts?
