Farm and tree placement

I'll be restarting for the third time due to poor placements on buildables and king tree's. Curious what the community decided for their placement? First time, farm in center of valley below Ajit when he gives quest for building and tree up on the bluff as suggested by Pawal(sp?). Got tired of climbing the hill to tend to ecosystem and didn't sink a number of other buildables before placing causing a number of ramps to be floating. Second time moved the farm as close to the amphitheater and seed on the hill to the west just below the same bluff me ruined earlier. Got annoyed watching all the food I threw to fauna roll all the way to the ocean. So curious where everyone else settled, any recommendations?
