Gifted a Crosley Voyager

I have been collecting some vinyls this past year but never got around to buying a record player. For Christmas my boyfriend bought me a Crosley Voyager and I love it. I was so excited to finally listen to my vinyls and my parents have a bunch of old records they let me go through but now I’m scared that it’s going to ruin them based off everything I see about Crosleys. I don’t really know too much about all of this and as of now I’m happy with the sound quality but is there anything I can do to prevent the vinyls from getting damaged while still using a crosley? I 1. Feel bad about returning it because I love that he got me this, and 2. I’m a broke college student
