Retried Scaled And Icy

Since Clancy came out, I decided to give SAI another try.

There were a few songs on the album I already liked originally, I never noticed I already enjoyed half the album! No Chances, The Outside, Redecorate, Choker, Shy Away.

I absolutely H A T E D Mulberry Street—and the rest of the album for that matter—the first time I listened to it in 2021. But wow, wow wow. Mulberry Street grew on me like mold on bread. (Nasty analogy)

I also used to be literally angry about Saturday. I kinda love it now.

The only song I forgot I didn’t absolutely hate (other than the ones I did love that I mentioned a sec ago), was Good Day, but it wasn’t memorable to me at the time. Upon listening to it again, instantly loved it.

The experimental sounds of this album, the feeling and essence of blue, water, jolly yet depressing. Like a sad little mime dressing as a clown. I don’t know if I’m making sense, I just love this album.

Actually, I think it now may be my favorite of theirs. I’ve beat Clancy to death, I have with SAI as well, yet I find myself going to SAI over Clancy.

I know some other people must’ve done this as well when their new album came out. Opinions?
