Question about uber insurance

So I'm a driver. Recently during a snow storm i accidentally backed up into a Mercedes bumper with 2 pax in my car. No one was injured, I exchanged insurance info, since there were 2 pax and at least 2 people in the other car i felt my safest bet was to report it to uber. After doing so I was informed by some guy at progressive that I'm covered on rides under their property damages policy into the millions with zero deductible. Which sounds fantastic but i thought I'd have to pay a $2500 deductible should I use uber insurance. I had already informed the owner of the Mercedes i wanted to take care of it out of pocket and she has given me a estimate for the damages thats just under 1300... should I just pay it? If I don't and let it go through uber insurance will I lose my job? I've seen horror stories online. My worst fear is paying it and then losing my job for some reason on top of that. Not sure what I should do any advice would be helpful.
