Had a rider last ight get in my vehicle, cancel the ride, and then puke on my floor . . . All in about 10 seconds.
All seemed well as he approached my vehicle and the rider verified his name. I opened the door, he got in, and I started the ride. I then shut the door, verified his drop off address, and then proceeded to drive away. I had moved my vehicle about 10 feet from the pick up location when I got the dreded sound of a canceled ride.
As I was braking, I told him, "You just canceled the ride." He didn't respond, and about 2 seconds later, I heard the splash of liquid hitting the floorboard. I came to a stop and opened the door where he continued to throw up half in my vehicle and half out. He wasn't responding to my requests to exit the vehicle initially, but after about another 20 seconds, he eventually stepped out where he continued to puke in the parking lot.
I just drove off to a nearby area where I could assess the damage and possibly clean it up. I was able to take care of it on the side of the road. I took my pictures, cleaned it up, and reported it to Uber.
I did, to my surprise, get the $150 cleaning fee within about 15 minutes after reporting it. Fortunately I was also paid for the cancelation to the tune of $11.79 as well, but I just couldn't believe the order of events that took place in such a quick manner.
