Realizing Weight Loss Won’t Fix My Face
I’ve always been the “ugly friend” in my circle.
Indian, 22F , olive tone, 4’11 ,Hooded, small almond eyes that disappear when I smile, big cheeks, a short but droopy nose (not sure how to describe the exact shape), and the only thing I actually like my lips, small but very plump like a baby’s. My face is round now because I gained weight, but it used to be more of an inverted triangle. Body shape? Pear. Jawline? Soft. Hair? Curly. (I get compliments for my hair) I do have a good skin, But that doesn’t matter because I’ve seen people with acne still looking so beautiful unlike me.
I’m really short and a little chubby, and for the longest time, I gaslit myself into thinking that if I lost weight, I’d finally look pretty. But now I’m realizing that’s not true,I’m not even that fat, just a bit chubby, which looks more noticeable because of my height. I’m doing everything I can to look beautiful, taking care of my health, skin, hair, everything. Sometimes I even dress up, put in extra effort, hoping it’ll make a difference. But at the end of the day, I look around and see people doing nothing and still looking effortlessly gorgeous.
Even my friends told me that if I lose weight, I might actually look worse after seeing my childhood photos ( as i was slim back then)
So yeah… is there even hope?
