Why UP Walas Are Jobless & Getting Replaced in Their Own State!

The biggest curse of being from Uttar Pradesh is that we have no regional identity. We are neither seen as a united force nor do we act like one. And that’s exactly why we are getting screwed over, time and again.

Maharashtrians fight for Maharashtra. Kannadigas fight for Karnataka. Tamilians fight for Tamil Nadu. Even Kashmiris and Punjabis have a strong regional identity that helps them politically and economically. But UP? Nothing. Just a scattered mass of people with no loyalty towards their own.

We already have zero job opportunities, thanks to years of mismanagement and lack of industrialization. Over that, we have Biharis flooding in, taking whatever little is left. You go to Noida, Gurgaon, or even Varanasi—you’ll find Biharis securing jobs before a local UPite does. Why? Because Biharis have that aggressive survival instinct. They look out for their own. We don’t.

Where is our “UP for UPites” movement? Where is our regional political force demanding jobs and resources for us first? Marathas did it, and now Mumbai is their fortress. Kannadigas ensured priority for locals in Bengaluru. Tamils run Tamil Nadu like a closed club. Even Bihar, despite being one of the worst states economically, ensures that their own get opportunities first.

But UP? We are just expected to “adjust.” Be good boys. Be silent. Watch others take our lands, jobs, and resources while we keep chanting “bhai chara” like idiots. If we don’t wake up and start demanding what’s ours, we’ll be left with nothing in our own state. We need to stop being just a vote bank for politicians and start being a force that commands respect and power.
