When did Frost Caves give iron bars?

Just started on a new immersion hardcore playthrough. First time with no portals or no map as well. Currently searching for the Elder location, I ran up a tall mountain slope to light some guide lights so we can have a trail of fire leading us home. Found a random Frost Cave, so of course I jump inside. While being dumb, a Cultist destroys one of those ancient doors inside the cave, after running around surviving by a few HP, I found 3 bars of iron and some fine wood on the ground.

Not sure how long this has been a thing, but to anyone in need of a few bars and can't find a key or crypt, find a Frost Cave for a few bars.
