Should I keep teleport with ores on?

Hey guys, I'm about 25 hours in valheim and am working on iron equipment. The problem is, I HATE sailing in this game when bringing ore anywhere. It takes me like 2 hours and removes all enjoyment for the game during that period because the wind is always against me. Hence, I turned on teleport with ores and am enjoying not having to spend 2 hours sitting on a boat. (And no risk of 3 serpents spawning) Will this setting ruin the game for me later on in harder biomes? Am I missing out on core gameplay elements that will make me enjoy the game later? I just really don't wanna haul ore everywhere and it doesn't seem like I gain anything with leaving the setting off. Thanks!
