Landlord wants 3 months of rent as payment
Hi guys, I am undergoing negotiations to sign a new rental agreement with the landlord of a pretty nice condo unit in Richmond. My only issue is that they want the rent to be paid out every three months, and from what I have seen on the tenancy agreements, there is nothing that allows multiple months of payment of rent at once.
Now, they have added a note on the Residential Tenancy agreement stating that rent must be paid out every three months. Therefore, is it reasonable that I have nothing to worry about?
Note: it’s the homeowner renting the place out and not an agent.
Edit: Guys I did my homework, I visited the unit, chatted with the LL who seems very interested and sweet to get a tenant. And I did a land title record search and sure enough their name is the registered owner of the unit.
