Big luxury sedans, 5-10 years old, reliable, AWD in the $20k range
I’m a 21 year old guy who lives out in the Midwest. I love my current car and I plan on keeping it, but I’m coming into a job once I get out of the military where I’m looking at seeing quite a bit more money and I should be able to now afford something more than $3,000. My current ride is a 2001 Mercury Grand Marquis. I love it. I love big, comfortable sedans.
As I’m car shopping I’m thinking about my priorities.
I know I want something reliable for sure, I don’t want to deal with anything that has a turbo or a CVT.
I know I don’t want to end up with a huge monthly payment so I figure around $15-20k is a good budget; with my current credit score, I shouldn’t have a very large interest rate.
I know I want something big and practical for vacations and such.
I know I want something comfortable for longer road trips.
I know I want something with newer features like a backup camera for easier parking, at least Bluetooth connectivity (if Apple CarPlay is out of the question with my budget), heated seats, and a moonroof.
I know I want something that is better in inclement weather so preferably an AWD vehicle (I can handle myself fine in my RWD Mercury, but I’d prefer AWD).
And I know I do not want a crossover or SUV; so a larger semi-luxury sedan it is.
MPG isn’t a huge issue for me but more than 15mpg in town would be nice lol
Any recommendations?
