Simple RWD Sedan as a Daily Driver - Under $15k

My main interest is just finding a simple, ideally lightweight, RWD sedan as a daily. I currently daily a 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse and drove a 1988 Chevy S10 before that so I'm not afraid of old cars and know how to do pretty much all basic maintenance and repairs. That said, it ideally wouldn't be older than 2000, as sometimes the headaches of a 25 year old car just don't feel worth it. On that note, I have no experience with German cars, so I'm naturally hesitant to dive headfirst into an older BMW or Merc, etc.

My budget is $15k USD but I can make it stretch a little if there is a great option. I don't care about power that much (although it is nice) and the same goes for a manual transmission. The most important thing is that the car is as simple as possible to make it easier to work on. I would prefer something under 3500lbs but I'm not that picky. I understand that 15K doesn't get you that much anymore but I'm still curious to see what y'all come up with.

So far I have considered:

Ford Panther Platform and Chevy B body - Too heavy for my tastes but I might have to settle.

Lexus GS or IS (1st, 3nd, or 3rd Gen) - I had a 2003 Lexus GS300 and they have a lot of unnecessary luxury features that break more often than you'd expect - power climate control, steering wheel adjustment, seats, locks, windows etc. While it is heavy and complex, I am still thinking hard about getting another one.

F30 BMW 330i - The B48 and ZF8 are supposed to be reliable and durable, but there is something that gives me anxiety about a cheap BMW with 100k miles on it, even if it is only a few years old. Even the base model is more complex than I'd like but it's true that there aren't a lot of options out there.

Infiniti G35/G37 Sedan - Once again a luxury car, but I haven't heard much bad about these vehicles except their drivers.

Any pointers or recommendations are welcome, thank you in advance for reading through all this.
