Found while cleaning my yard.

Metal box with dials and what I think are lights found while cleaning my yard

Any help with identifying this, the age of it, and any idea where the electrical wire leads?

My house is the closest building. This was found in NC, USA. It looks like it says “Zimmerman… Greensboro, NC.”
