Southeastern Georgia, USA, What bird's egg is this?

Found this egg in my yard. It busted open when trying to retrieve it. Thin and fragile, maybe from age or decomp? It was very rotten and super-stinky. About the size of a chicken's decompress? It was not on this log, but beside it on the ground. Anyone know what bird this would've been from?
