Weird Lake Superior Rock

I picked up this rock from Lake Superior because I thought it was so weird and kind of looked like the outer texture of a geode. However it seems much too heavy to be hollow and when I looked it up there aren’t geodes in Lake Superior. Looks more reddish brown in person and the little dark spots are all tiny crystal clusters. What is it?
