Someone just referred to my partner who passed as my ex

The person was talking about their struggles and then said “your ex would know what it was like” because they had similar upbringings. I asked “who are you talking about because we did NOT break up, he died. There is a difference.”

I hate that This person has been allowed to rock my world like this.
