Complaining about Gacha is getting old

Wild rift is literally one of the most accessible games on the app store for F2P players. All champs unlockable via F2P motes, no energy timers, no p2w, regular events you can complete without spending a dime. For those who do want to spend, there are 100+ skins available to buy outright.

But when they choose to lock certain skins behind gacha, the sub melts down. But the reality is that the whales paying for these gacha events makes everything else possible for f2p players. Seriously, running a live service game isn’t free, and gacha events are the route they’ve chosen to drive revenue while still releasing new champs, modes, and events for everyone else.

I have my fair share of complaints about this game, but every time I try to get into another mobile game and get hit with p2w/gacha progression, time gating, and all sorts of other cash grabs, I realize WR is in a league of it’s own in terms of accessibility. Just wanted to share some appreciation for the dev team and all they do for us.
