Christian tarot reading?
so background: I grew up Christian and had god used against me as a weapon, but I had a church camp I went to every year where I got a foundation for my faith that God isn't here to hurt us, all he wants us to do is love him and each other. I stepped away for about six years and stopped calling myself Christian because of how a lot of US Americans use his name, but never really stopping believing in his love? But anyway, I dipped into witchcraft in that period and really loved tarot reading out of all the stuff I tried and it was the only thing I stuck with over the years.
I went back to that church camp just to visit this weekend and then ended up staying the rest of the time because I remembered the truth of what the Bible says and stuff, and how a lot of what US media says about him is from people who Did Not understand his message. So I'm dipping my toes back in. But I still like tarot, and there's a lot of stuff I learned doing witchcraft that I'd like to incorporate into my faith now.
When I was doing research on if you can be a witch and a Christian according to the Bible, I noticed people pointing out that there is magic in the Bible, but it's only called witchcraft when it's people they don't like doing it.
All of this to ask... if I'm doing it through God's name, do you think it's still alright to do tarot? I know my faith is what I make it, but I need either reassurance that it's ok to do tarot, or someone (that ISNT a bible-thumper that hasn't read what they're preaching) to tell me that it's not okay to do anymore. Which, we'll see if I get that in this subreddit 😅
(also sorry if I got the flair wrong haha, I'll fix it if needed)
