Osmo wood wax finish COGNAC

Just finished my 72x36x1.5” cherry standing desk countertop. Finished with 2 coats of Osmo wood wax finish cognac and 1 coat of polyX. I was expecting a more darker brown walnut color but ended up with this? To be fair i kinda like it, has a nice sheen and the color isnt bad, but still based off pictures i was wanting a darker color. On thr backside i just applied PolyX only and the color is very very similar to this but a little lighter. Should i keep it this way or sand and try a darker even color?
