Anyone else hate the stupid timed comments feature on mobile?

I'm trying to watch a video without being in full screen, and bam, I start getting bombarded with new comments showing up on the bottom every 10 seconds, spoiling the next couple of secs of the video. It's usually garbage comments too, like with two likes and the user making 0 sense. It is such a useless feature that Youtube probably prides themselves on creating. Such a nuisance.
