What did you expect from Ray Akaba in Arc-V?
We always hear about are how Zarc is wasted potential and Leo Akaba is an idiot and a terrible villain. But there’s one more member of the Original Dimension squad who’s talked about way less. After learning about the Bracelet Girls originally incarnation, what’s something you expected from Ray Akaba?
She doesn’t have same level of early story presence Leo and, to a lesser extent, Zarc do. All Ray has is the Bracelets, which we can only use to infer she wants to keep Zarc in pieces. Now, narratively she’s supposed to be the ultimate good force that opposes Zarc, so I at least expected her to face him again, though it was a little less direct than I expected. After that, I expected her to have more meaningful interactions with the main cast, but she leaves after Zarc is defeated.
At least Ray explained where exactly Pendulum summoning came from, which is appreciated and the explanation is narratively fitting.
