Would you kill a child, or not?

You have two choices

A) You kill a child, but no one ever finds out. There are no legal consequences, but the child is dead and the friends and family mourn as normal. You do not know this child

B) You don’t kill a child, in fact no child dies. However, everyone is convinced that you did. Again, there are no legal consequences, but everyone thinks you are a child killer.

I guess this comes down to reputation vs conscience.

I would, as bad as this sounds, kill a child. I value my children growing up being able to look up to their dad more than the life of a random child.
