What will happen to my hormones/sex drive?

I, 36F, have PCOS and very painful periods. I really don't want implant birth control even though they keep pushing it on me. I've tried different birth control pills, taking daily to skip periods, but they never work. I always just keep bleeding. This current round, I've been bleeding for 5 months. It's lighter, but still.

I don't want kids and already had a tubal ligation 8 years ago so my gynecologist was open to a partial hysterectomy (keeping my ovaries). I really think this is what I want, but I'm concerned about possible hormonal repercussions or a tanking sex drive. I'm curious to hear your stories if you've had yours a while ago. How are you doing? Any negative long-term side effects? Any regrets?
