I related heavily to your post. Appears we are quite similar. Thankfully, I’ve been in a good spot (mentally) given all the terrible crap I’ve had to deal with. I actually JUST got laid off yesterday with no notice…. I’ve become accustomed to these road blocks and now just laugh, perhaps maniacally, but the laughter helps nonetheless. In moments when I feel like you described I find it comforting to know that it’s all temporary, life is all ebb and flow. The highs and lows all come and go. The lows always seem to last longer, which is ok because it makes the highs taste that much sweeter. I hope this helps in some way. Keep making conscious efforts in the right direction, no matter how minuscule or difficult they may seem. I know it’s not a popular idea but finding God helped me tremendously as well. Definitely brought peace in my life. I would encourage you to seek some churches in your area. Sit in on some Sunday services and just listen, or make a point to meet someone there. If you are like me it could make a tremendous change in your life. If you decide that’s not for you it’s ok, there are still tons of other people and groups out there ready to love you for you. Praying for you my friend, sending peace and love. Do not hesitate to reach out if you want to talk.
