AITA for not reminding my husband about a huge event in my life?

In this particular instance YTA. You said he asked if he could come to the presentation. Why then play mind games of sending him an email and asking him to read it instead of just telling him here’s the zoom link to my presentation. Also this is your upgrade/confirmation one year into a PhD programme right? I can’t imagine anyone caring at all to come to that. It’s fine if you’d like the support but on the list of personal milestones this is a bit lower than a preschool graduation IMO - I appreciate others mileages may vary but this isn’t a milestone as much as people agreeing that you should continue to research. (I do have a PhD btw but absolutely no family or friends attended our upgrades). So YTA for making a big deal over a relatively minor presentation, and YTA for setting him tests that you already know he will fail.
