Hm yeah I’m very confused about everything and to what point this is being healthy, I know some things were mistakes I made but at the same time the way they are reacting sometimes scares me that every little slip on my end would become a major issue. If we even are still together, at this point idk anymore

I agree with the first commenter, it may not be bipolar. It sounds to me like they committed to you faster than you committed to them (absolutely not blaming you, that’s your right to date around until you feel serious about someone) Perhaps they were only interested in you and it was a lot to hear that you were still seeing other people when they had already decided they were gonna take you only seriously. The news coming out just last month would be shocking for me too and would fester some trust issues. Open and honest is always best policy. Especially with someone who had disclosed they are bipolar. The big thing with bipolar is really that our feelings feel 10x bigger than everyone else’s. So imagine you having a little bit of trust issues, and then them being magnified massively. What should have been a minor crack in trust turns into a major fracture. Do I think it’s overboard? Absolutely. But it’s what happens in a bipolar persons mind and jealousy/trust issues may be the hardest thing we have to overcome.

Thanks! I think this comment opened my eyes a bit, the beginning was very confusing because I didn’t want to commit to a relationship and was honestly trying to push my feelings away, I didn’t want this to be a rebound and I was trying to pursue other people before things got serious between us kind of like to make sure about my feelings. I agree it was not fair especially because I wasn’t honest. I usually get very anxious whenever someone calls something out on me and I have a lot of trouble opening up about anything so I get extra triggered (not blaming them at all and I’m really working on my space). I sent them a last text last night saying I was worried they didn’t respond but I think I’ll leave it quiet now and really wait for them to reach out. This scares me because this is really the first time I feel like i’ve fallen in love like this and my mind has been so chaotic. Anyways - I agree I have to give some space for now
