When you began the grow out process did you start from a shaved head or did you trim the back while the top and sides gained length? Majestic hair btw mine is the same but I always get frustrated during the grow out and end up cutting it : (

I started it right around the time the top part of my head had length. My sides were in a fade. I let it grow uneven for around a year. As soon as it got a little bit longer than my shoulders, I decided to clean it up. I went to a salon and asked what the best way to clean it up is. The salon person recommended to cut it in layers. It’s been like that ever since.
