Oregon Sunstone before and after!
Feather Ridge Plume agate. I became somewhat obsessed with this material a few years back. This is one of my favorites cabs.
The inclusions known as "Shiller" in Oregon Sunstone are made up of tiny platelets of copper so of course copper/silver mokume gane pairs well with it.
Is there a gemstone anywhere on the planet that occurs naturally, untreated, all from a single mining source, in as wide a range of colors as the Oregon Sunstone?
This something I call "Minimum Intervention Gem Art" because I try and to the minimum to bring out the natural beauty of the gem. In this case an Oregon Sunstone.
