You may want to do some research on the Jubilee taking place in Rome next year. It’s supposed to be a very crazy time there. Already most of the monuments are under renovation, including the Trevi, piazza Navona and many others. We were just there in October.

I hope you had an amazing trip! Yes, I’ve read about the Jubilee. I think with some of the suggestions I’ve received that we’ll be good to go. I think all the walking with help with my anxiety around big crowds in the busier places. I don’t want to miss out just because it’s crowded so I’ll just take some deep breaths! Ha

I was your age when I was put on HRT best thing I ever did. It’s was the debilitating hot sweats that lead me down that road. I am 53 now but I had a cancer scare 18months ago and had to come off it and change from tablet to gel, different progesterone ect since having surgery and my HRT being changed my hot sweats have returned, i am upping my oestrogen now and hopefully that will help but do not suffer with those symptoms, if you can get to even try HRT to see if it helps, at least. It was almost immediately with me that I saw a positive change, literally within 24hours of taking it.

The cancer is what I'm afraid of. My mom had breast cancer and ovarian cancer, so I'm scared to do anything that involves more estrogen.

Holy snap…. Ok first of all, I’m so glad you posted. I legitimately have the EXACT same things that happened to me (I’m 35y/o f)I saw so many doctors and tried so many different SSRI’s it was insane. Hospital bills through the roof and severely ER visits. In total I wanna say I was close to 10k. Here is my best advice to you: be your own advocate in your health. I went through probably 10 doctors prior to finding the right fit. I also saw cardio, endo, ent, psych, neuro, gastro prior to finding the best fit (and Np of all things). Here is what I found. 1 - BC can legit F your world up. It screwed with all my shit. 2 - Your gut health is like your second brain. Pro and prebiotics help a ton with anxiety 3 - the higher your cortisol the lower your hormones are, because everything stems back to the pituitary gland. 4 - male doctors suck and most OBGYN won’t even entertain the idea of HRT unless you are of a certain age. 5 - deep dive your labs. You can be in range and still be low on a scale. I’d recommend a hormone specialist (out of pocket most likely) instead of a pc 6 - Zoloft changed my life… bupropion is more of an antidepressant than an anti-anxiety. It’s meant to pair with SSRI’s 7 - If you start test like I did prepare for weight gain 8 - consider gene site testing. It will help you figure out what meds are best for you and your body. Granted it’s not fool proof but it does help. 9- don’t let anyone tell you the way you feel is normal. You know your body better than anyone else in this world. Don’t let them discourage or discredit you. If you don’t feel right then it needs to be fixed. 10 - know you’re not alone

Thank you! I am so sorry you are going through this too. It is pretty miserable. I went to my Endo and she is doing cortisol testing and another blood test. There is a new drug out that potentially can stop the night sweats, so if my tests come back normal, she is going to start me on it. She seems to believe me as I went to her a few years back with the same issues. She actually mentioned that HRT would generally be the course she'd take, but with my family history of breast cancer and ovarian cancer, she doesn't want to go that route with me unless it's the last resort. I should hear back from her about the lab results in the next 10 days so fingers crossed.
